Ever since a problem was encountered on Apollo 13, Houston has been an international household name. The 4th largest US city, it is home to NASA’s Johnson Space Center where Mission Control is located. Of course, this is not its only claim to fame. This is Texas after all, where everything is big.
Houston’s Reliant Astrodome was the world’s first indoor sports stadium under a domed roof, and the Galleria is the largest mall in Texas. The city’s Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest in the world, and the JP Morgan Chase Tower is the planet’s tallest 5-sided building. The list goes on.
Amid the skyscrapers of the thriving CBD is the Toyota Center, home of the city’s NBA and AHL teams. The theatre district is also in the downtown area, whereas the museum district is concentrated to the north-east of Hermann Park, home of a boating lake, nature reserve and miniature railway. Also here is Houston Zoo, and just west is Rice University, one of several in the city.
The bohemian Rice Village is popular with students, as are the city’s historic pubs and leafy parks. Houston also has no shortage of restaurants or accommodation options. Those on Booking.com include motels, apartments and hotels near George Bush Airport.

I’ve been to Houston several times since 2023 for surgeries that I’m having currently on my mouth. I am big on social media. That’s how I got the free smile makeover on TikTok. So I wanted to show my Houston and all that it has to offer. Well, there’s nothing to offer but drugs tore up streets disrespectful people of all cultures. Every hotel that me and my mother and or my husband has stayed out long. This journey has been absolutely disgusting. These are properties ran by IHG and Wyndham like the standard should be there. I worked for these companies in Florida and I can promise you ours never looked like they do in Houston. They just don’t care the whole city just doesn’t care there’s zero cleanup zero anything I even called the police and it took them an hour and 45 minutes to even call me back. They do not care about this city and if you go here you’ll find out as a meth dealer will walk up to you or a prostitute.

The bus pass for the elderly was helpful, while some drivers would leave early, from a terminal, or change their number, if they didn't want you riding their bus. The south, east, & north sides are highly crime-ridden & ghetto, with people screaming at you, in Spanish, that they want music, garbage piled 3' high on empty lots, loud music played all day, which somebody quieted down, one early morn, with a few gunshots. Otherwise, it's ok.

Houston is an awesome city!
Houston is an awesome city! The cleanliness, convenience of stores, restaurants, venues etc., is incredible. We were there for a volleyball tournament staying at Homewood Suites Downtown, and it was a short 5 minute walk to George Brown Convention Center. Downtown Houston is impressive!

Driving into Houston on s Thursday afternoon, traffic...
Driving into Houston on s Thursday afternoon, traffic quickly became bumper to bumper. All the exits were clogged up. Very difficult to follow high way signs. Many highway numbers are painted on the road surfaces and difficult to see. . Drivers are less than courteous. Wrecks slowed traffic. Google maps does not help much because of the crowded traffic. Friday it took me 2 hours to go 21 miles across town. If you know where you are going, it would be easier to drive in Houston. Road signs are almost worthless. I hope to never drive in Houston again.

-The location is unbeatable. The Galleria mall is 5 min walking from the Hotel, and there are many store real close. There are several stores close to the hotel, so it was pretty easy to walk instead of taking Ubers.
-Front Desk and the cleaning team was excellent, always happy to help.
-The included breakfast was pretty good for the price included. The only downside was the service hours 6-9am and 7-10am during weekends. But just plan ahead your day.
- Room was clean and had many amenities.
Huge apartments, well furnished, clean and comfortable. Includes a kitchen too which is handy. Location is good in downtown Houston. Free laundry facilities and tea/coffee station. Staff were friendly and stored our luggage for us on the last day which was great. I think there are 2 hotels in same building but you can check in with either one. Beds were a little on the small size given the room space.
A basic clean double bed room in a hotel near the Houston International Airport. Room and hotel was Clean and comfortable. No fridge in the room, heating and air con worked well. Pity that there is no restaurant service at the hotel and even the bar was closed when needed to buy a bottle of water.
The hotel is characterized by its location close to Downtown and easy access to tourist places in Houston The stay was enjoyable and the place was quiet and clean The receptionists were very polite smiling all the time
